Laura Gallagher
President and Founder of The Creative Company
The Creative Company’s Founder and President, Laura Gallagher, will head to Washington, D.C. for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit in late October. The Summit brings together entrepreneurs from across the nation to learn from visionary leaders and advocate for the needs of America’s small business community.
As part of this gathering, Laura will join fellow business owners in lobbying Congress to ensure the voices of small businesses are heard on Capitol Hill. The Summit’s programming will also feature insights from some of today’s most influential leaders, including Michael Bloomberg, Michael Phelps, Hamdi Ulukaya (Chobani), Ken Langone (The Home Depot), Nancy Twine (Briogeo), Kat Cole (AG1), Anastasia Soare (Anastasia Beverly Hills), and Ethan Mollick (Wharton School), among others.
A Legacy of Leadership and Advocacy
Laura’s invitation to participate is a natural extension of her decades-long leadership as an entrepreneur and advocate. She is a 2017 graduate of the national Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program at Babson College, which equips entrepreneurs with the tools and resources to grow their companies and strengthen their communities. She is also a graduate of the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City Milwaukee Cohort in 2016, an affiliate program to 10KSB.
Her contributions have been widely recognized:
- Named a Wisconsin Trailblazer by the Wisconsin Women’s Council in 2016.
- North American Ambassador/Wisconsin Ambassador for Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2017 and 2018.
- Honored as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Women in Business Champion of the Year in 2019 in Wisconsin.
- Led The Creative Company to be recognized as Dane County’s Small Business of the Year in 2022.
These accolades reflect not only Laura’s entrepreneurial drive but also her dedication to empowering others and amplifying the impact of small businesses.
