MADISON, Wis. (Oct. 15, 2025) — After nearly two decades apart, The Creative Company is welcoming back one of its own. Kevin Nelson has rejoined the agency as Senior Communication Strategist, bringing with him national PR experience, digital savvy, and a deep familiarity with The Creative Company. This boomerang hire will see Kevin working with The Creative Company’s strong stable of clients on PR, branding, communications, and videos.

Kevin and The Creative Company have grown since he moved to Seattle in late 2008. This span of time encompasses from when Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” topped the charts to now, when Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” leads things.

During this time, Kevin built his career in Seattle with Porter Novelli, a national PR firm, where he worked on several major accounts, including T-Mobile, Omnipod (makers of the insulin pump Kevin uses!), HP, and Cox Enterprises. He once wrote a simple tweet for a company CEO that led Inc. Magazine to highlight it as “the right way to handle customer service.”

“The 2007 Kevin wrote one of the best cover letters I’ve ever seen in my years of PR experience,” the President of The Creative Company, Laura Gallagher, said. “I’m excited to see he still has the same drive in 2025 and will wow reporters and our clients alike!”
