The Creative Company Earns WBENC Certification

We Are a WBENC-Certified Woman-Owned Marketing & PR Agency

We are proud to share that The Creative Company has earned certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, the nation’s leading third-party certifier of women-owned businesses.

WBENC certification is intentionally rigorous. The process requires extensive documentation and a thorough review of ownership, financials, governance, and day-to-day operations to confirm that a business is truly owned, controlled, and led by women.

For our team, this certification has been a long-standing goal. Over the past six months, we completed the full application process, submitting detailed financial and operational documentation within WBENC’s 90-day review window. Certification was approved earlier this year.

“You may have seen the WOMEN logo in a store window or on a product,” said Laura Gallagher, President and Founder of The Creative Company. “What it represents is real verification. This process required us to open the books, document how decisions are made, and clearly demonstrate that this company is woman-owned and woman-led. I’m not feeling flashy about it. I’m simply glad we did the work.”

Why This Matters for Our Clients

WBENC certification provides clients and partners with meaningful assurance. It confirms that the leadership guiding strategy, delivering the work, and standing behind client relationships today will continue to do so over the long term.

Certification also enables organizations to engage The Creative Company through supplier diversity programs while working with a firm known for consistency, care, and impact. WBENC certification must be maintained through ongoing compliance, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and leadership continuity.

Small by Design, Deep by Intention

The Creative Company has always been intentionally small. We focus on mission-driven organizations and long-term partnerships, prioritizing depth, collaboration, and measurable impact over growth for its own sake.

“There is an assumption that you have to be big to be important,” Gallagher added. “Our clients get something different. They get direct relationships with people who care deeply about the work and the outcomes. This certification does not change who we are. It confirms it.”

WBENC certification also connects The Creative Company to a national network of women-owned businesses, corporate leaders, and procurement professionals. Those connections create opportunities for collaboration and learning that ultimately benefit our clients.
