Full Circle
Have you ever thought to yourself that life has just come full circle? We're having a full-circle moment right now. From 2008 through 2015, The Creative Company was on the near Eastside of Madison in the Madison Enterprise Building which is owned and operated by Commonwealth Development. In the summer of 2015, we moved to West Washington Avenue where we've continued to thrive.
Last July, the landlord of that space shared with us his vision for a new building on West Washington Avenue, a 5 story mixed-use development on the same location as the former Hotel Washington. We were invited to return but would need to relocate for 14 months. After looking at various locations, I kept coming back to this feeling of wanting to return to the Eastside and to Common Wealth Development's unique community. There was something both very enterprising and creative about being in the midst of so much entrepreneurial activity. So, I reached out to Common Wealth.
They welcomed us back. Relationships matter.
We moved into their stage two building called Main Street Industries on Friday, February 28, 2020. Not only will the aroma of baked bread from Origin Breads and hops from Giant Jones Brewery fill the air but homemade preserves from The Quince and Apple, Company chocolate from Wm. Chocolate and others are also present as you walk through the halls. CraftOptics is another entrepreneurial company in the former Greyhound Bus Station that has been repurposed for job creation in the center of our city. We're also near Google, Hotel Indigo and American Family Insurance Dream Bank as well as the bike path, parks, and popular entertainment venues.
We'll host an open house once we are settled. Watch for a video tour, too. We plan to make an impact within this community and neighborhood in a number of ways that you can play a part in too. We'll host "lunch & learn" events and evening gatherings to discuss ideas, marketing, and more. We'll also be continuing our commitment to inner-city growth.
Our address has changed but our values of making a difference in the world will continue.
