Case Study: Ascendium Education Group Public Relations Plan


The Challenge

Ascendium Education Group's mission is to make education and training beyond high school a reality for learners from low-income backgrounds. At The Creative Company, we support this goal. In November, the nonprofit philanthropy came to us for direction on effective ways to create additional awareness so that others would join them in their support of 20 nonprofits, most of which are located right here in Dane County.

Our public relations specialists provided counsel on strategic messaging and how to leverage year-end giving on Giving Tuesday.

With countless local organizations competing for media recognition for their public service at the same time, it was crucial to craft a concise and engaging story. The results? Earned media coverage in targeted publications you can read below!

Our Approach

The campaign was targeted at the press in Wisconsin. Our media relations and outreach helped feature the client in desired print media outlets. The Wisconsin State Journal published a high-quality story the next day, mentioning Ascendium several times. InBusiness Madison Magazine also wrote an excellent article.
